Helical Gearbox

Helical gears are one type of cylindrical gears with slanted tooth trace. 

The gradual engagement makes Helical Gears operate much more smoothly and quietly than spur gears. For this reason, helical gears are used in almost all car transmissions.

The model was created in Siemens NX10 (Unigraphics). The dimension for the gears were calculated and tested for failures using 'Theoritical Formulae'.
