Press Tool

Press tools are commonly used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical presses to produce the sheet metal components in large volumes.

Generally press tools are categorized by the types of operation performed using the tool, such as blanking, piercing, bending, forming, forging, trimming etc. 

The following was my BE Project . It was an Industrial Project which mainly focused on Manufacturing a Press Tool for our Client based on their requirement.

The Strip is a 'Hostaphan' sheet, type of a Polyester Material. This material has got a good Retentive Property.

The complete model was made in Creo-Parametric with drafting of each component.

 Main Components used are :

1. Top Plate (Skin)

2. Back Plate (Blue)

3. Punch Holder Plate (Green)

4. Stripper Plate (Turquoise)

5. Die Plate (Med. Yellow)

6. Bottom Plate (Skin)

7. Pilots (Yellow)

8. Springs

9. Punches (Dark Grey)

10. Dowels (Top Plate)

11. Std. Screws
